Things To Come

So, James and Susan, our good friends, just had their first child two weeks ago. We are watching them closely. Today was the first time I had seen James since the birth.

"Dude!"

"Maestro... How are you man?"

"How am I?.... how are YOU? How's the kid? How's Susan?"

"Oh, they're both fine. We have family visiting right now, but after a few days, you should come over and visit."

"We'd like that" "....so..... anything else to report?"

"Hmm? Oh, yeah... last night I almost got six hours of uninterrupted sleep."

"Ahhh"

I know, I know... "It will all be worth it."

On the up side... I've just discovered the phenomenon of paternity leave. Honestly, I didn't even know such a thing existed. Apparently, my job allows for two weeks, paid. Awesome.
